In less than three hours, the two centuries old property was washed away. The Waterside Pub, built on a bridge Summerseat (
United Kingdom), collapsed due to the flood of the River Irwell, Saturday, December 26, reports Le Figaro.
Part of the walls and floor of Waterside Pub were swept by heavy rain, but without casualties. The building was abandoned for several months. Consultation of residents had even been organized earlier this year to transform the property into apartments.
The north of England hit hard
Summerseat, near Manchester, is not the only British city to have suffered from bad weather during the weekend. David Cameron has deployed several hundred military in northern England on Sunday to evacuate people affected by the flooding "unprecedented". In York, a hundred British had already left home Monday.
