Taken 3: meeting with Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker and Olivier Megaton (Interview)

Taken 3 : rencontre avec Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker et Olivier Megaton (Interview)
Télé-Loisirs: The movie is called Taken (kidnapped in French, ed.) Now in this third part, nobody is removed. This will not at all!
Olivier Megaton: (smile) We really asked to call the film Taken or not! After, we were always in the logic "Taken", so finally we said that we would keep this title and assume that no one is kidnapped in the film. The trademark "Taken" has far exceeded the simple idea of kidnapping, even among Anglo-Saxons.

Liam, we can not say that you are very well positioned in ... Taken 3
Liam Neeson: In the first two films, my character, Bryan Mills, was the hunter. This time, he is the prey after a terrible tragedy. He will have disappeared and, together, find out who is behind this heinous crime. Especially he and the CIA inspector Dotzler on his trail ...

Introduce this new character, played by Forest Whitaker, it was essential to the saga?
Liam Neeson: Absolutely! When I read the script and I discovered Dotzler, I thought we would be heavy to play. I jumped with excitement. All this makes it even more legitimate this last chapter.
Olivier Megaton: We wanted there to be a real danger in relation to the character of Bryan Mills. Dotzler's character was built so that it is as empathetic, the most intelligent, the most touching possible. A kind of "super Columbo" in short. A cop a bit clever, which has humor and is very mysterious.
